Iron Age Constant Struggle LP Youngblood Records This record came to my door hyped to death. I have to say though this is really good. If you like bands like The Cro-Mags, Crumbsuckers, True Blue, Icepick, etc you will be into this. Some songs remind me of Madball too. I dig the Metallica style riffs too. There is plenty of changes and variety on here. My only complaints are a few songs kind of drag on too long and the production is a little thin. For this kind of band I want the production to be huge ala Best Wishes.…

Adrenalin OD, Guns N Rosa Parks, The Abused
Guns N Rosa Parks Antifreeze EP This Colorado band plays excellent early 80’s style hardcore. I am reminded of bands like Adrenalin OD and The Abused when I listen to this. There are plenty of mosh parts also to keep the pit going. These guys also do New Jersey proud by ending their record with a cover of Sock Woman. 17 songs gives you plenty to listen to and it doesn’t let up for the entire record. Definitely check this out! Hardware Media has also reviewed this record recently!

Project X NYC Straight Edge CD Bridge 9 Records This is the long awaited reissue of the Project X record by Bridge 9. This record has been bootlegged many times and it is great to finally see an official reissue out there. Musically, I mean, this is probably my favorite straight edge record ever. Robot Whales Vehicle LP Collapse Records Last year’s sleeper hit on the Revelation compilation returns with a new LP filled with mid 90’s style hardcore. Like I said last year, these guys sound like a breath of fresh air right now. If you like stuff like Quicksand, Lincoln, Burn, Helmet, and bands like that you will love this. Bonus points for covering Electric Funeral live. I’ve been spinning this one a lot lately. Check this and the other great records on Collapse Records out. Members of this band were also recently in Get Real.

Grand Theft Audio Records, The Straight Edge, White Cross, Zero Degree Records
White Cross Fascist 7” Zero Degree Records I first heard this record in 1998 when a friend made me a tape with a bunch of 82 era hardcore records on it. White Cross really stuck out at me for their brutality and rawness. This record is on par with some of the best records from Italy and Scandinavia.
