Dillinger Four, Ensign, Something In The Water, Voices Forming Weapons
Something In The Water had members of No Contest and a few other bands. I was very excited to see Voices Forming Weapons, who had members of the excellent band All Chrome. I don’t remember much about their set at all, but their demo and other records have been collected on an album. The vocalist for VFW is now in Sweet Jesus. I remember nothing about Ensign at all. I might have gone to eat with someone? I might be mixing up a few shows though. I stood in the hall and watched Dillinger Four for a few songs and…

Parade Brigade Fanzine #3 advertised that the new issue would have interviews with Out Cold, Nerve Agents, Voices Forming Weapons, Speak 714, and Carry On and it would be out in “May or June”…whoops We ended Parade Brigade Fanzine in the fall of 2001. We did three issues and then a variety of personal, interpersonal, and worldly issues basically put the fanzine to rest. I still swear none of them was 9-11, although I cannot imagine us doing so well in the newly reactionary and jingoistic hardcore scene afterwards. I did a one pager maybe six months later and received…

All Chrome, Glory Fades, Hot Water Music, Parade Brigade Fanzine, So Automatic, Swiz, The Refuseniks, Verbal Assault, Voices Forming Weapons
Back when Parade Brigade Fanzine was still in operation one of the bands I really wanted to do something with was Voices Forming Weapons. They broke up, and then our zine ended, before anything could be done. I knew some of the members from their previous band All Chrome. All Chrome were one of the underrated bands of the late nineties. Voices Forming Weapons came out of the ashes of that band and played hardcore in a similar vein; Hot Water Music, Swiz, Verbal Assault, and San Diego emo comes to mind when I hear these guys. They post out…

Parade Brigade #3 was thrown together in about 72 hours and it shows. John and I were driving to school on a Wednesday morning and I suddenly just had to have it out for a show that Friday evening. Both interviews in this issue (Fit For Abuse + Shark Attack) were done sometime that week and most of it was haphazardly laid out the night before at about 3am by me. I think John did not even get his page to me until right before we left for the copy place. We just totally sucked at this at that time.…
