No Warning-Breakdown-Foundation-Think I Care-Suburban Scum-King Nine @ Howell NJ 4-10-15

I was only at this show for Breakdown, of course, but I ended up getting there really early so I had to watch a lot of other bands. I liked Think I Care back in the 00s, but their last album was much slower and heavier and kind of dull. They played a good mix of songs at this show. Foundation were an Earth Crisis/Hatebreed hybrid. I guess they are a big straight edge band? Not really my thing. Breakdown were great of course. A handful of us were really going off and the crowd let us be. A few…

97a-Tear It Up-Last In Line-Shark Attack-Think I Care @ Kendall Park NJ 6-3-01

I have no memory of Think I Care or Last In Line from this show. I think I went to go get dinner or something after working all day. Shark Attack were great and covered Last Rites. I’m all over that video going off really hard. Tear It Up broke open this big doll and the fuzz from inside it broke all over the floor. There was a lot of drama about 97a playing this show. It’s a bit of a longer story than this, but this show is famous for the beef between them and Purpose over both playing a show on that day which spilled…

Mind Eraser

Mind Eraser are my favorite hardcore band right now. I was very impressed by their demo and then totally blown away by the Cave LP. I did this interview last week with Chris Corry. *** Was releasing the demo online a conscious choice the band made? In the age of $5 demo tapes and CDR demos that can hold 80 minutes of music but only have three songs on them, it was quite refreshing to see the Mind Eraser stuff online for everyone with a net connection to be able to check out. Nah it wasn’t really any kind of…
