A New Enemy, American Nightmare, Champion, Death Threat, Outbreak, Striking Distance
Looking back, this was a really big show putting together some of the biggest bands of the time period. There have been so many bands called Outbreak over the years that I don’t even remember which one this was, nor do I really care probably. A New Enemy covered a Bad Brains song I think? Striking Distance were really good. I liked them live a lot more than I did on record. This how was really, really, packed, so I slipped onto the side of the stage to watch American Nightmare. Not my thing at all, but they always got…

Issue three would be the end of Parade Brigade Fanzine and, as promised in issue two, we mostly only reviewed records that were sent to us. Boy were some of these records awful! John and I handle most of the reviews with only the Carry On and Esteem records getting both of us. Issue four would have had a Carry On interview that I think John actually did…? Our friend Ryan, who did a lot of grunt work with me getting this issue thrown together as quickly as it was, jumped in to do a few reviews as well. 200…

Burn, Champion, Cro-Mags, Devoid Of Faith, Floorpunch, New Age Records, Sparkmarker, Trial, Wait In Vain
Wait In Vain Demo 2005 This is a new band for members of Champion and Trial that does not deviate too far from those bands. Energetic, slightly metallic, hardcore with way too much chugga chug and scratchy New Age Records, circa 1994, style vocals. The stop and go parts remind me of, of all bands, Sparkmarker. If you like Trial or Champion you will like this probably. I will pass on this one. This is the kind of stuff I thought bands like Devoid Of Faith and Floorpunch pushed to the side when they came along. The promo sheet that…

Anthony did this one for Fuck Rock Fanzine. I didn’t even know this interview existed until he sent it to me a few months ago. Actually, I don’t think I’ve even heard Damage II before. I know I saw the first Damage once and they had a bunch of songs with Simpsons themed names which was pretty cool. Thanks again for taking time out to do the interview. How are things going with Damage II? Are the upcoming west coast dates coming together? Damage II is going real well, things are moving a little slow, but we’re still getting somewhere.…

Parade Brigade #3 was thrown together in about 72 hours and it shows. John and I were driving to school on a Wednesday morning and I suddenly just had to have it out for a show that Friday evening. Both interviews in this issue (Fit For Abuse + Shark Attack) were done sometime that week and most of it was haphazardly laid out the night before at about 3am by me. I think John did not even get his page to me until right before we left for the copy place. We just totally sucked at this at that time.…
