This video was actually my introduction to Beyond. Two or three songs from it were on this VHS tape I had around 1996 or maybe early 97. I just remember that they sounded so different than other NYHC bands and all the “Beyond! Beyond!”. There was a bootleg of their demo sometime in the spring/summer of 97 and I listened to that tape religously. Hazel’s Wart Regretful Dependencies Fast Shoegaze/Indie Rock that reminds me a lot of The Lilys and Sonic Youth. I am sure this has a big audience, but I do not really like it that much. I…

Innumerable Forms Frozen To Death Tape Chris Corry and DFJ’s death metal project put out a seven inch a few years back, but this tape shows a lot of progression. The tape has two new songs and the three songs from their previous ep remixed for this new release. I am not so sure how many copies of this tape were made, but track it down if you enjoyed their seven inch. Confined Demo 2012 Pretty generic hardcore somewhere, I am not sure which is more of an influence, between Chain of Strength influenced bands like Champion and Count Me…

Nomos Demo Great 82 style hardcore from this New York band. There are a lot of modern influences on this band’s demo including Cold Sweat, The Snobs, and other, hey, early 00 bands. I would like to hear more. Our Side Demo Really raw, late eighties, influenced hardcore in the vein of Release, Youth Of Today, and Four Walls Falling. With a better recording, I sense this band could be pretty good. I want to hear more. Pigsticker Demo I really like this demo. Pigsticker reminds me a cross between Circle Jerks and Necros with sloppy, raw, production values that sounds pretty authentic to the early eighties…
