It’s so funny to me that my students still go to this thing and are super psyched on it. Back in the nineties, this seemed so corporate and annoying. I cannot even imagine what it is like now, but I guess FESTS are this massively normal thing now, so whatever. No one seems to blink an eye either at the expense of these shows either. My first show of 1997 was in Bordentown, NJ at the Fieldsboro VFW (which apparently doesn’t exist anymore?). When I began teaching at BCC in 2009, I noticed I drove near Bordentown every day on my commute and it always made me think of the shows I went to at this venue (Also, Vincenttown. Do the punks still slam there?). I missed the two other Floorpunch shows here (one with Rain On The Parade and Vision, and the other with Human Remains and Earth Crisis). July 8th 2006 Forward To Death–Government Warning–Career Suicide–Splitting Headache–Wasted Time This was my first show in awhile. I made the quick journey up to Toms River alone this time around. I think Dave had to work at the last minute and well, that’s about the only other person who goes to shows with me around here.
