June 18th 2005 Little Rascals–Splitting Headache–Get Real–Righteous Jams At the last minute, I believe Righteous Jams canceled this show. The show went on however. After going to get food we caught the tail end of whoever the opening band was. I believe they were from Brick, but I’m not entirely sure. At the end of their set they busted out a cover of Floorpunch’s Not For Me. Cool. The Little Rascals were, albeit a bit sloppy, really good again. Wait In Vain Demo 2005 This is a new band for members of Champion and Trial that does not deviate too far from those bands. Energetic, slightly metallic, hardcore with way too much chugga chug and scratchy New Age Records, circa 1994, style vocals. The stop and go parts remind me of, of all bands, Sparkmarker. Knockdown Self Titled CD Youngblood Records This is the discography of this short lived band. Members of this band have also been in Blacklisted, Inside Fight, Shark Attack, and Full Contact among others. Knockdown play 1997 style youth crew hardcore in the vein of Floorpunch. For real this time. So many bands get compared to Floorpunch and maybe one in twenty actually sound like them: these guys do.

Abusive Action Self Titled LP Crucial Response Records After a very solid demo, Abusive Action have come back to Earth with a pretty mediocre follow up. This release loses a lot of the energy that their demo had. The recording is even very flat and bland. One of the great things about their demo was the great production.
