Burn are one of my favorite bands. When I first heard this record this was pretty mind blowing. It was still hardcore, but it sounded fresh and new without getting too metal or stupid. This is proof that you can do something “new” with hardcore without bringing in corny mainstream riffs or anything stupid like that.
This record is still available from Revelation Records. Apparently they finally fixed the misspelling on the back. Burn also finally released their 2nd recording on CD as The Last Great Sea.
There are a lot of great Burn live shows out there. If you like Burn, track them down because there are a lot more songs Burn never recorded but played live.
