Burn, Revelation Records
Burn Self Titled EP Revelation Records 1991 Burn are one of my favorite bands. When I first heard this record this was pretty mind blowing. It was still hardcore, but it sounded fresh and new without getting too metal or stupid. This is proof that you can do something “new” with hardcore without bringing in corny mainstream riffs or anything stupid like that. This record is still available from Revelation Records. Holy crap, a lot of Newz U Can Uze After a couple years of work, Bridge Nine Records is going to be putting out the Schism Fanzine book. I have not had originals of the Schism issues in a couple years, so I am excited to check it out again. In sort of Schism related news, Ronny Little has a new interview with Alex Brown up about Schism’s precursor Loveseat. Porcell is now playing guitar for Bold yet again. We did this interview at Princeton Arts Council in May of 1998. I believe this show was with Speak 714, Rain On The Parade, and Automatic.
