This version of Bad Brains had John Joseph on vocals. Was this technically Fearless Vampire Killers? I do not remember. Anyway, they were fine and about as good as you could expect in this era, sticking to the hits.
The main event for this one, of course, was Leeway. They had not played shows in a number of years, and the last time they did I missed the show because I was sick, went into work that morning anyway, and went home early and then bailed on the show. They came out playing the hits and people went off hard. Leeway has always, until the very end, been a band who I always enjoyed live. I am not super fond of the records after Born To Expire, but I respect how good they are.
Near the end of their set, soaked in sweat, I went into the back and ran into a friend who had moved away from New Jersey some years before. I saw like four of her heads floating in the air and had to sit down. Leeway rocks!
