Top 100 Of The Nineties: Endpoint-In A Time Of Hate

Endpoint In A Time Of Hate LP Conversion Records 1991 This is a personal choice. When I was a young punk Model was put on a mix tape for me (turned out said mix tape maker just copied the east coast side of the Voice of 1000’s compilation and said it was a mix) and I loved it a lot. In A Time Of Hate, the LP the song comes from, is a great record of slightly metallic youth crew hardcore with great lyrics about the environment, straight edge, and drunk driving. I’ve always had a soft stop for this…

Judge-Where It Went: The Complete Discography

Judge Where It Went: The Complete Discography CD Revelation Records What more can really be said about Judge that has not already been said? This discography contains all of their released material- NY Crew Ep, Bringin It Down LP, Chung King Can Suck It LP, There Will Be Quiet… EP, plus a couple demo tracks. All of this is great and all, but I have a problem-Why isn’t the complete demo on here? Oh wait, they need a “bonus track” for the vinyl. What a bunch of bullshit. It’s called a fucking “discography” for a reason. Why would I shell…

Parade Brigade #3

Parade Brigade #3 was thrown together in about 72 hours and it shows. John and I were driving to school on a Wednesday morning and I suddenly just had to have it out for a show that Friday evening. Both interviews in this issue (Fit For Abuse + Shark Attack) were done sometime that week and most of it was haphazardly laid out the night before at about 3am by me. I think John did not even get his page to me until right before we left for the copy place. We just totally sucked at this at that time.…

Arms Reach

I did this one with Luke through the mail sometime in early 1999. Arms Reach were one of the best bands of the 90’s, I wish there was a proper discography so more people could be turned on to these guys. Who is in the band? The Arms Reach unit consists of Christy (22)-guitar, Amy (21)-guitar, Squelchy (22)-drums, Ben “bass of death” (22)-bass, and me, Luke Crew (23) on vocals. I think it’s really cool that you guys did a split demo, how did that come about? Well both us and Found My Direction started around the same time (March…

Hands Tied

I did this one with Tim from Hands Tied in September of 1997. Pictures by me and Casey Kulas. What is the history of Hands Tied and what is the current lineup now? Hands Tied started around the same time Mouthpiece was calling it quits. I guess it was sometime early summer 1996. Hands Tied was an idea that came up during the 1995 Mouthpiece summer tour. At the time, we knew that Mouthpiece was going to be coming to an end soon. Matt, the guitarist from Mouthpiece, Ed the Mouthpiece roadie, and myself (Tim) all talked about starting a…

One Up

Anthony did this interview for the never released Fuck Rock Fanzine in 2002. 1. Who is in the band?  How did you guys start out? One Up is Greg Polard on vocals, Jude Miller on guitar, Donny Mutt on guitar (that’s me), Ryan Rayburn on drums and Brian Cavanaugh on bass. The band started one day when Greg Polard realized that GO TIME was pretty much all but broken up. They just got a new drummer and after playing about 3 shows into a 7 day tour he decided he didn’t want to do the band anymore. A month or…

Youth Of Today

I included this interview on the backside of Not Normal Fanzine. I cannot remember what about this one particularly stuck out for me to have reprinted it, but here it is. At the time, Not Normal was going to have a reprint (some of which will end up on here, including Rorschach, Bl’ast!, Raw Power, and more) but a 2nd issue never came out… *** Bessie Oakley did this interview with Ray and Porcell for Maximum Rock + Roll Wake up and live, breath every breath Wake up and live, until my death… “’Wake Up and Live’ is about living…

It’s Alive Fanzine

I did this one with Fred Hammer over email sometime in the late 90’s. Originally, this was for some issue of the one pager fanzine I did at the time Broken Behind This Wall. *** How long have you been doing It’s Alive? I have been doing It’s Alive Fanzine for about eleven years. My first few issues didn’t have much in the way of content, they were only a few pages. As time went on I started interviewing bands I enjoyed: Scared Straight, Born Against, Outspoken, Gray Matter, No For An Answer, Half Off, Youth of Today, In My…

Hardware Fanzine

This interview was done in late 1996 for my old fanzine What Was Said. I have always been rather fond of this interview. I was interviewing Hardware! That was a huge deal to me because after having read a few issues of Hardware, these guys were legendary to me. They covered the stuff I loved the most (NYHC) and introduced me to so many cool bands like Devoid of Faith, Heroin, Mainstrike, etc. I think I first checked out Raw Power and other Italian bands after reading reviews in Hardware. If Hardware said a band was good, I had money…
