I wasn’t really sure what to do with this one when I received it from Sub Pop. The Elected have members of the band Rilo Kiley, who are apparently a big indie band? I had no idea. Honestly this isn’t half bad. The Elected play folky, almost country, sounding stuff. Some of the songs get pretty loud and remind me of something from the seventies. This record definitely grew on me as I listened to it. If you like this kind of thing check it out.
