This was the record release show for 97a’s “It’s In Our Power” record. Rain On The Parade are on some flyers for this show, but they canceled. Degenerics-SOV-Worthless in Red Bank NJ Summer 1996

This was my first experiences with all these bands. S.O.V. I would see a lot over the years and of course DJ ended up in Full Speed Ahead too. Worthless were a pop punk band I did not like. Degenerics were still kind of getting their sound together at this point, but eventually they would be pretty raging. One of my friends interviewed S.O.V. and Worthless at another show, but I do not know if he ever printed them or anything.

This show was the night of John’s graduation from Southern. I had a party with my family for mine and like two friends showed. A show is much better! This was a Tuesday night I think, so the show was sparsely attended for sure. SOV were a local punk band which members eventually ended up in Full Speed Ahead actually. They did a few demos and maybe a seven inch? I took pictures of Full Speed Ahead at this show, but I think I sent them to a few fanzines and they got published. I certainly do not have copies…

Parade Brigade #4…What Could Have Been…(And Some Other Assorted Stuff)

Parade Brigade Fanzine #3 advertised that the new issue would have interviews with Out Cold, Nerve Agents, Voices Forming Weapons, Speak 714, and Carry On and it would be out in “May or June”…whoops We ended Parade Brigade Fanzine in the fall of 2001. We did three issues and then a variety of personal, interpersonal, and worldly issues basically put the fanzine to rest. I still swear none of them was 9-11, although I cannot imagine us doing so well in the newly reactionary and jingoistic hardcore scene afterwards.
