All three “staff members” did reviews for issue two. BW=Bill Wend, John=John Piorkowski, Ferret=Justin Bragg I got a ton of shit in the weeks before that In My Eyes record came out. I got it in the mail, listened a few times, and posted one morning on the Rev Board that I did not like it. I said it reminded me of Better Than A Thousand and was kind of shitty. I went to class and came back to this huge thread about what a fag/loser/pussy I was. LOL. Oh noes, I didn’t like your precious friend’s band and their…

Cockney Rejects, Fire & Ice, Parade Brigade Fanzine, Rest In Pieces, Sick Of It All, The Ducky Boys
First off, this venue is fantastic. Nice mid-sized place with a big stage and a secondary level and bar. The sound is good and the bouncers kept off to the side and didn’t brutalize anyone. This is a great place for hardcore shows and I hope to go back soon. I had not thought about The Ducky Boys in many years and and was surprised to see that they were still around and putting out records. They are definitely not my thing, but that is cool they have stuck around. After they played I wandered outside and ran into a…

It is hilarious how infamous this show has become over the years, but, uh, yeah…it was pretty good… Floorpunch came back from their European tour in the 1999 and seemed to drop off the face of the earth. They were supposed to play a gig that May with Vision and In My Eyes (where a bunch of pics from their second LP were taken. Oh, look, it’s me!) at Berkeley Heights, but dropped off (and so did Vision and I think h2o too. In My Eyes ended up headlining…I think…we will get to that show eventually) and then word seemed…

My first show of 1997 was in Bordentown, NJ at the Fieldsboro VFW (which apparently doesn’t exist anymore?). When I began teaching at BCC in 2009, I noticed I drove near Bordentown every day on my commute and it always made me think of the shows I went to at this venue (Also, Vincenttown. Do the punks still slam there?). I missed the two other Floorpunch shows here (one with Rain On The Parade and Vision, and the other with Human Remains and Earth Crisis). I went to this show with a bunch of friends, two of which, John Piorkowski…

Parade Brigade Fanzine, The Judas Iscariot
I did this interview with The Judas Iscariot for Parade Brigade Fanzine #1. At the time these guys were a pretty interesting band on the scene so I checked them out live. After sitting through about 800 really bad emo bands (like, the ones where people cried on the ground) The Judas Iscariot finally played. A few days later I did this interview. Honestly I’m not a huge fan of this interview. My questions are sort of silly and a few were literally drawn out of a hat. Seriously. Plus they totally get question six wrong. I mean, really, is…
