Staring Problem Pissed Human Dick Tape Some old friends get together (former members of, amongst others, Get Real and Ensign), to play raging Bl’ast!/Black Flag style hardcore. Like many recent bands from the shore, this sound is accentuated with some pretty vicious mosh parts. I’ve ended up missing these guys play over and over the past few years, but this summer I’d love to check them out.
Mental/Mind Eraser/Get Real/Robot Whales/Little Rascals May 6th 2005 Brick NJ Dave Flynn and I headed up to Brick for this one. June 18th 2005 Little Rascals–Splitting Headache–Get Real–Righteous Jams At the last minute, I believe Righteous Jams canceled this show. The show went on however. After going to get food we caught the tail end of whoever the opening band was. I believe they were from Brick, but I’m not entirely sure. Robot Whales Vehicle LP Collapse Records Last year’s sleeper hit on the Revelation compilation returns with a new LP filled with mid 90’s style hardcore. Like I said last year, these guys sound like a breath of fresh air right now. If you like stuff like Quicksand, Lincoln, Burn, Helmet, and bands like that you will love this. Bonus points for covering Electric Funeral live. I’ve been spinning this one a lot lately. Check this and the other great records on Collapse Records out.
