Abusive Action Self Titled LP Crucial Response Records After a very solid demo, Abusive Action have come back to Earth with a pretty mediocre follow up. This release loses a lot of the energy that their demo had. The recording is even very flat and bland. One of the great things about their demo was the great production. The songs themselves have moved away from the Floorpunch style they had on the demo to a more melodic style. This is exactly the thing I despised about a lot of the post 1997 “youth crew” bands. Abusive Action Demo The Abusive Action demo came highly recommended to me by a couple of friends. This demo is excellent “97” style hardcore in the vein of bands like Floorpunch and In My Eyes. Actually, I would have to say it is more like In My Eyes if anything. Fast, to the point, straight edge hardcore clocking in at less than ten minutes. The only thing that is annoying is the same old bland straight edge lyrics; but for the music, it fits. Definitely check this one out.
